Gabriele Persano
Gabriele Persano was born in Lecce, Puglia, in 1998. He studied at Politecnico di Milano, where he earned a Master’s degree in Architecture with the thesis “Archive, Memory and City. The New Metropolitan Archive of Milan”, supervised by Professor Tommaso Brighenti. He qualified as an architect at Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza.
His professional career began in 2021 and developed, through 2025, within architecture practices in Milan and Salento, where he worked on residential projects, renovations and interiors.
In 2026 he founded his own practice in Lecce, where he directly oversees the development and coordination of projects from the earliest design stages through to completion.
Approach
Each project begins with what a place already offers: structure, light, proportions, materials and traces of time. These elements are brought together with the needs and habits of those who will inhabit it.
The practice develops architecture and interiors as a single project and follows the work from the first proposals through to construction. Formal decisions are assessed alongside feasibility, construction details and everyday use, so that the initial idea carries through to the built result.
Space also has an emotional dimension. Light, matter and void shape atmospheres capable of creating a sense of belonging and remaining in the memory of those who experience them. Architecture becomes a way of reading what a place preserves and transforming it into a new experience of dwelling.
